Test Ride

Yup, it was a cool day in the big smoke.
I played an early morning game of golf, great front 9 and fell apart on the back, oh well.
Lunch at the condo and I decided to head to the track to test ride a new Harley.
Harley Davidson was set up to auto scan your drivers license for self registration but don't try this if you are from out of country, I had to walk through the manual process, it was ok.
I now have a 1 week scan pass so  can test all week if I want.
I wanted to test ride a new Road Glide. Within 10 minutes of completing my registration I was on the road. No guided ride, just follow the 4 mile posted route around the airport, neat!
Off I went and was passed by many test riders who were all speeding well over the posted speed limits. The Police could have a hay day out there. I enjoyed the little ride.
This 2011 Road Glide does not feel anywhere like my Harley. It is smooth and very quiet. It has a large fixed fairing that kind of looks like looking out over the deck of an aircraft carrier. I must say I kind of liked it and could easily get accustomed to it.
I may test ride again during the week.
I was awakened at 11:10pm last night by a huge very solid sounding BANG, I rolled over and went back to sleep to be awakened one more time by multiple sirens, this time I got up and looked. Man a big accident 100 yards down the road, the A1A was closed for a couple of hours. It looks  bad for whatever happened, no news on the news yet today, all to bad.
