One more grand day in Ormond Beach, it started out overcast but warm, quickly clearing to sunny and HOT!
It was tour day yesterday so I headed west on Hwy 40 to Silver Springs only to find that I was one day early for the seasonal opening of the springs. I guess I will have to turn this misfortune into another day trip. This also meant that I needed to find an alternate adventure.
On the way back east on 40 I stopped at Baberville to find a rather interesting collection of eclectic art and other items for sale. Attached are the first of a few picture I took while there.
Today in Florida is the re-scheduled Shuttle launch date. It was my intention to be as close as possible to the launch site but do to possible weather conditions there is only a 30% chance of the launch taking place. The plan is to listen carefully to the news and if the launch looks like a go I may hurry south to Titisville to watch, (2:45 pm planned launch). More to come.
