Ottawa Tulip Festival

The day started off sunny and cool but as the day progressed the clouds moved in and some needed spring rain began about 3pm in Ottawa.
I had a busy morning of running around on a well planed route in my attempts to maximize my cars gas consumption. That being said I managed to achieve all the items on my to do list.
The last and probably the most enjoyable was a trip to Dows Lake in Ottawa to see some of the Tulips in this week’s festival. I was surprised to see how many people were out having a look around. The crowds though light, included some out of town tour buses, lots of young mothers with strollers loaded with kids, painters and most everyone had a camera in hand.
It was very nice to see all of these folks. I am sure it will be a very busy weekend in the area.
Attached are a couple of pictures of the flowers, more to come.
