Gainesville

Fun run to Gainesville this morning with the Daytona HOG organization.

Not sure of the exact numbers but I think we left Beach Street in 2 groups of 9 bikes heading for the Astor pick up where an additional 9 bikes joined.

Looked like 27 bikes in total.

All was going well until Butch led the entire group into one of those famous U-turns in Gainesville, it was a nice quiet residential neighborhood until the 27 Harleys hit the area.

Upon arriving at the Harley dealer in Gainesville we discovered that the Poker Run had left without us.

We hung around and someone came and escorted us through Gainesville to the end point of the run.

About 20 of us bought poker hands to support the cause.

I drew on of the worst Poker I have ever seen, guess what I won worst hand, $50, not bad covers the days expenses.

I just talked to David Long, the cheque is in the mail.

There Charity is the Dialysis Hog Cruise, they expect to send the charity some $1200, not bad.

Did I mention it was absolutely steamy hot day inland, felt kind of good to hit the cooler ocean side.
