Yup I spent the best part of Friday cleaning the condo and getting ready to head towards Home.
I spent Friday evening with friends and enjoyed a deep fired Turkey dinner, YUUUMMM!
If you have a chance to try deep fried turkey don't pass it up.
It was a busy day and a wonderful evening, I will miss my friends in Florida.
I was up at 2:15 am and on the road by 2:40 am. It turned out to be a good day to travel, overcast and no rain, being Saturday the traffic was light. I drove just a bit over 12.5 hours and a bit over 1000 miles. being beat I pulled into a brand new Microtel Inn & Suites, no $79 rooms left, had to pay $89 for a suite and beleive me it is worth the extra 10 bucks, not that I need the room.
Out for dinner at a corner pub, 2 pints and a bowel of spicy gumbo, I am going to wash and hit the sack!
Day two will be an easy 350 mile drive should be home by early afternoon.
