On Tour

It was a cool start to the day, friends Mireille, Barry and I were slow to hit the road on the Daytona tour.
We left the condo at about 9:30 am and hit the loop on tour to the Daytona 500 Race Track. Barry wanted to see the track. I was a bit disappointed that no NASCAR car was on display but we did get to see the track. Next we headed on the Mansion tour, lots of big houses in the area. We ended up at Ponce Inlet for an outdoor lunch on the deck, it was slow service but we were not in a hurry so that was ok, lunch was good.
Off to the world famous Daytona Beach, beach and a walk on the beach. The beach was busy as the Cheer Leader contest is in town for the weekend, lots of young people around.
Back to the condo for a long walk on my not so famous Ormond by the Sea Beach and before we knew it the time was approaching 6pm.
We were going to head out for dinner but decided on a BBQ chicken at the condo, this turned out to be a good choice. the day passed quickly and poof it was gone!
