Watching Florida

Watching Florida and the east coast for Hurricane Irene, could be messy!
Hurricane Irene's center has moved north of Florida, and its outer bands have finally begun backing off the Central Florida coastline.
Winds are starting to back down, but should remain in the 15 to 25 mph range, with stronger gusts throughout the day Friday.
High surf will also continue to pound the coastline, leading to some beach erosion, along with strong rip currents. Friday, 2:00PM.
