Ride day in Florida, Ya Baby!

Some of the Ride Group!

Well with the promise of clear sky's and temperatures in the mid to high 70's a group of about 30 bikes left Daytona Beach this morning on a lunch ride, Destination -

Pecks Old Port Cove
1390 North Ozello Trail
Crystal River, FL 34429
352.795.2806

The ride about 130 miles each way.
A real nice ride on the back off the main roads highway, the last 5 miles to Pecks is a real treat of a ride for Florida. I did not realize that there were any bits of twisty road in Florida, this little bit of road is great but way too short.
We were expected at Pecks so the service was good, two large tables and separate bills. The food is good but not great, if you go have the shrimps, they are big and tasty.
For the ride home the group scattered heading in differnet directions, kind of typical for this group. Five bikes in our little return group to Daytona, almost all back roads, "NICE".
We did drive through some smoke fog from some of the burning brush fires going on in Florida, not bad just smelly stuff.
All in all a great day, ended up with about 300 miles of seat time.
