Well with the demise of the Space Shuttle program it has been a while since I have seen anything launched into the sky's from Cape Canaveral.
Last evening just after 7:30pm there was a launch of a Delta IV Rocket with a half Billion Dollar Military Communications Satellite on board.
It was a perfectly clear night so I stood on the balcony, watching the count down on TV and viewing the orange glow of the rocket rising above the ground until it disappeared some 2.5 minutes later in to the darkness of the night sky, all very neat!
