Last Florida Post this Winter Season

The New Florida Home!

Well it has been an outstanding winter in Florida, a non winter as it were.
I have really enjoyed myself.
I played some golf, not as much as in the past.
I have put 13000Kms on the Harley, that's lots of seat time.
I have really enjoyed my Florida friends this year.
My current plan is to return to the Daytona area for as many years as I can.
To this end I have worked very hard this past month and purchased a small house in Ormond Beach about 5 miles form the ocean. Lots of reasons for choosing this location but the largest was likely the price and possible quicker re-sale should I have to sell. The house was a repossession and I managed to buy directly from the mortgage company. It was a bit of a painful process, almost like they did not want to sell the property. One thing I have learned is that Florida moves in mysterious ways all on there own time table. I think REAL BUSINESS might be able to make some money here.
The property closed last Tuesday, I have all of the paper work short of Title which will take about six week.
Since Tuesday I have worked my butt off to get things in order before my Sunday return to Canada. It has been hard work but all seems to be in order.
I had a bit of an open house this evening for friends and a couple of the immediate neighbors. The place will be well looked after in my absence.  I have friends who live a couple of blocks away who pass the house almost every day, it's all good.
Now to get packed up and head home.
Not looking forward to the long drive, this to will pass.
