In Ormond Beach

At the Beach during Sandy!

Well after a 22 hour drive I arrived in Ormond Beach at 12:30am last Thursday morning.
Nice, my friends had the lights at the house turned on and the refrigerator stocked with beer, pop, wine, bread, butter, ham and orange juice. What can I say about friends like that other than they are the best!!
Since my arrival I have been running hard working around the house to get it organized enough to live in, not decorated but functional. In a few days I have come a long way but my list is still way long.
The only real outstanding issue is to purchase a washer/dryer and that will be the focus of today's efforts.
Now for a Hurricane Sandy update. Yes it merely touched Florida, high winds but not crazy, a few inches of rain, no big deal for around here and reports of lots of beach erosion. Bottom line Florida was lucky, the storm here was a non event. I hear the US north east will get pounded, oh well, good luck with that.
