Although Bike Week (really 10 days) does not officially start until 9:00am this morning, Friday that is, a great number of the vendors were open for business yesterday. I was at Destination Daytona in the afternoon and told the vendors were taking a chance because the business licenses were not valid. No consequence to me.
I wandered around in comfort with no crowds. It was not my plan to purchase a rain suit but I found 1 at 40% off in my size and made the purchase, good deal for me. I think I have made my one visit to destination for the event.
I met up with friends CT and Teresa at the dealership. Teresa has a desire to have a new bike so she let some salesman beat up on her for a while, this guy was persistent and would not go away, he fallowed us around the 2 floors of the dealership. We made our escape to the Beaver Bar on the hwy # 1 for a beer.
This is a busy main roadway so lots of bike traffic to watch and the show had begun. We sat in the big rocking chairs, in the sun and watched world go by, great afternoon for sure.
Today, a ride with some Ohio folks to the Vintage Bike Show in Port Orange, more to come!
