Boring Type of Day

LARGE Paleated Wood Pecker, dinning out!

I drove back to Ottawa from Mont Tremblant yesterday to attaend to some personal matters. What a nice morning for a drive, cool, sunny bright morning and virtually no traffic on the highways. I love to drive in these conditions.
I arrived in Ottawa and things are really starting to green up much faster here than in Mont Tremblant. In fact I will for sure have to cut my Ottawa lawns this week.
The plan is to head back to Mont Tremblant about mid week after I have completed taking care of things in Ottawa. I want to play some more golf at Arundel.

Todays pictures were taken of a LARGE Paleated Wood Pecker, I new he was in the area because I found lots of major tree damage in the area. When I finally caught up with buddy he was working in what I would deem to be a very weird location but I guess that was where the food was at that time.
Nearly as large as a crow, the Pileated Woodpecker is the largest woodpecker in most of North America. Its loud ringing calls and huge, rectangular excavations in dead trees announce its presence in forests across the continent.
