Hot!

Hot, can you say HOT because that is what it was yesterday and it promised to be even hotter today.
I picked up new used bike last Tuesday so when the Blue Knights offered up a chance for a ride yesterday I jumped at the chance to go.
We all met at a Tim Horton's for 9:00am after which we headed up along the Rideau system to lock 17 for a brunch type meal. Back on the bikes to Westport, stop for ice cream. Westport to Calabogie to the car race track. The BMW club was there flogging the piss out of there cars in the heat. We hung around there for a while watching, what a nice facility. Off to Pakingham for one more quick refreshment stop, by this time it was early evening and some of the ride group had already departed for home. We were down to 5 bikes.
It was just after 7 pm when I arrived home hot and very tired.
It was a great day, very sunny and hot, the back roads were in good shape and very quiet in terms of no traffic.
The motorcycle performed like a champ, I am really going to enjoy this motorcycle. It has a couple of little things that I need to take care of to make me pleased but not much. One being the windshield hieght, I need something a bit taller to keep the wind buffeting down and two the stereo is working on an intermittent basis only, this will be fixed under the extended warranty (I hope).
