Outstanding

The outstanding weather continues in the Daytona area.
Yesterday was a fun sort of a day.
The testing of the Generation 6 NASCAR race cars is taking place at the track. You can get into the stands at one end of the track for free to watch the cars lap and stay as long as you want. I was over and spent an hour in the mid morning. Most of the cars were out running in single formation only and the cars are not for the most part in there race colors. An hour watching this single car running goes a long way. Late in the day i understand that a four car group of Toyota's did some drafting together, this is really much more excitting and what you would like to see.
I spent a couple of hours in the afternoon at the Sally golf tournament watching the armature girls play some real good golf. I say girls because for the most part these ladies are university golf team amateur players. This tournament was established in 1907, is the longest standing amateur ladies tournament in the US.
what a nice afternoon to be on the golf course.
The current weather promises to hold for the next bunch of days, nice stuff!

I think today will be a bit more exciting - they're working on "pack running" this afternoon. patti
