Speed Week

Yup Speed Week leading into the Daytona 500 NASCAR race has started here in the area. Already you can see the increase in traffic. Passing by some of the RV spots yesterday a great many RV's are already in-place.
This is a big event week for this area.
The first official races begin this afternoon into tonight. The unfortunate part is the weather has turned cold with a low tonight forecast to be in the 30's f. Yup in spite of all of the real nice weather we have enjoyed already this season it is still winter in this part of the world.
I am attending the Budweiser Duel on Thursday afternoon. I like daylight racing and this year will be particularly fun. My friend Teresa per-orders the tickets each year and this year she won the returning subscriber prize package. This package gives VIP access to the event which includes a lot of goodies. I plan to report back after the event with the details. It should be great fun, OH yes the weather forecast for the Thursday race is mid 70's f, works for me.
