The Great American Daytona HOG, Hot Dog, Shootout Lunch Ride

The Great American Daytona HOG, Hot  Dog, Shootout Lunch Ride, bring your own Beverage, Guns and Ammo!!
Well the day was threatening rain and in fact during the morning monthly HOG meeting we did experience some rain showers. The plan for after the meeting is well explained in the article title.
Only about 20 folks decided to take in the extra wonderful Hot Dog Ride. The ride was dry, a good thing for all.
We arrived at Jim’s place to find the he and Lou had spent a bunch of time the day before setting up a walking shooting course. Lou has bags of experience in the type of thing and Jim has a wonderful country property to allow this sort of shooting activity to take place.
The boys brought out a great assortment of handguns and shotguns, WOW!
Lou gathered the troops and explained how the afternoon was to work, how to walk the course with a range master and the required safety aspects. First of all 4 targets with a 12 gauge shotgun of your choice from the table (thanks to those who provided the shotguns and ammo). It was soon discovered that the 12 gauge Bull Pup is not that accurate and packs one hell of a punch. Next a walk in the woods with your favorite handgun loaded with 6 shoots for the 6 shooting station. What good fun, you were able to walk the course a few times.
Some folks had not shot much or had never shot. They were introduced to a safe way to try out a handgun. What good fun, we all had a great time.
Yes we abandoned the range for the garage as the lightning and thunder moved in. After two rounds of rain those of us on bikes hit the road back towards Daytona and we did not encounter any rain, a good thing!
OH yes lunch, Hot Dogs, Hamburg’s, Wild Bore on a bun, desert and a beverage.
Thanks Jim and all those who helped out, it was a great afternoon.
