Daytona "YA BABY"!!!

Hit the link for the RIDE ALONG!!!

Well it was the be Petty Ride day.
I headed to the Daytona International Speedway this morning with friends Teressa and CT for a 3 lap ride along with the Richard Petty organization.
How I ended up here is a bit of a story. Friends Teressa and CT have been married for a bunch of years, CT is a kind of a hands on friend while Teressa is a detail type of person. This means Teressa handles the finances. This makes it hard for CT to buy anything without Teressa knowing. Time for some Black Ops; fun! CT wanted to buy a Richard Petty Ride along for Teressa for Christmas, so I enter the picture. I purchased the Ride Along for CT to be given to Teressa for Christmas, But I wanted one as well so two were purchased by me 6 weeks ago.   Since that time I have been biting my tongue not to say a word. In the mean time Teressa has no idea she has a ride but button holes me to say she has bought one for CT. I almost chocked on all of this information but still could not say a word.
Today we all bundled up on a cold morning and headed to the track. What a machine this Petty organization is. We checked in and signed who knows what? Shuttled off to the track side we signed one more time and again who knows what. We were not in a rush, you could see folks rushing around to be first in line. Petty was running 8 cars so groups of 4 cars off at one time. We waited and soon enough suited up in a Simpson race suit, a helmet and a Hans device and loaded into a retired NASCAR race car. I was loaded into the Joey Logano, Toyota Camry #20 from the 2012 race season with driver Dave. I asked a couple of silly questions and off we went. I asked if we could ride the wall, the answer was yup I think so!
The acceleration off of pit lane was unreal! We charged right to the wall on turn 1 "Ya Baby". Off the wall down the back straight we had to slow for the cars in front, back up on the wall, man you sure can feel the g's. This went on for 3 laps and before I knew it the ride was over way to soon, I wanted more!
My friends felt and enjoyed the same experience and we all went away with silly smiles on our faces.
Everyone with a bit of adventure in there lives owe it to themselves to try this.
Until next time!
